Job Summary

Aerospike Database is a high performance, highly scalable, distributed database optimized for SSD and advanced storage technologies, such as Intel's Optane persistent memory. Our database needs easy to use, high performance clients for developers to create applications in the language of their choice, such as Java, C, C#, Python, Node.js, Ruby, Go, and Rust.

The Client Engineering team leads the effort to provide native developer APIs and supervises contributions from the community. Team members also support other product engineering groups within Aerospike, such as connectors and tools.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain client software; track new server features and implement them in the client
• Keep track new of developments in the languages you support, in order to better serve the developer community
• Research the ways developers are writing applications in the language you be support (frameworks, tools, etc)
• Analyze and improve the performance of the client
• Produce high-quality and well-tested code
• Create documentation and code examples demonstrating use of the client
• Answer questions from the developer community and our Solutions team
• Handle bug reports and code contributions to the project

Qualifications

• Strong programming skills with one or ideally multiple client languages
• Able to read and write code in Java or C
• Experience with programming client/server network communications using TCP
• A solid understanding of client / server wire-protocols and message passing
