Responsibilities:
The
Senior Casualty Claims Representative will Investigate, evaluate and resolve assigned claims in accordance with company standards, procedures, and state regulatory requirements.
Key Functions include but not be limited to:
- Perform investigations in a timely and thorough manner to ensure accurate decisions on coverage, compensability, liability, and damage issues affecting claim resolutions.
- Effectively negotiate with insureds, third-parties and claimants listening carefully to their demands and using an objective approach to resolve the claim fairly.
- Control file-related expenses through efficient utilization and monitoring of "outside" vendors.
- Inform other departments of positive/negative conditions noted during investigations which may impact company results.
This role will be based in our Westbrook ME or Bedford NH office locations. We offer a hybrid work schedule with 3 days in the office; and 2 days remote where it makes sense to do so.
Qualifications:
Claims Representative I & II
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.)
- Minimum one – three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
