CATEGORY MANAGER, CONTRACT MANUFACTURING

The Category Manger, Contract Manufacturing leads strategic sourcing activities and supplier relationship management in the contract manufacturing / co-pack / co-man space. This exciting functional leadership role (individual contributor) defines and deploys strategies across multiple technologies that optimize the 3PM (3rd Party Manufacturing) partner network to ensure supply reliability, quality, and cost improvement programs, while enabling 3PM-based innovation to deliver top-line revenue and bottom-line EBITDA improvement. Establish strong supplier relationships, effectively manage the category supply base, perform advanced and intricate negotiations, and oversee supplier selection, and onboarding key suppliers.

Specific duties and responsibilities include:

· Own the delivery of 3PM commitments of Cost, Cash, Supplier Reduction, Compliance, Quality, Customer Service, Delivered Profit, and Sales Growth

· Partner with BU supply chain leadership teams to develop/deploy mid-long-term network strategies to drive performance, improve cost competitiveness, and reduce complexity

· Own the 3PM network optimization plan design and its deployment, including the identification, selection, onboarding and offboarding of 3PMs

· Executes competitive sourcing events (RFI/RFPs) focused on total cost of ownership, technical capabilities, and operational effectiveness

· Serve as point of escalation for supply related issues, developing governance to monitor performance and drive issue resolution

· Lead/support cross functional value engineering and teardown programs to optimize product cost structure

· Continuously monitor new technology trends and assess opportunities to optimize operations, cost structure, and drive innovation ecosystem

· Partner with RD&E, PMO, and sales teams to optimize innovation process and cross-functional wiring to improve connectivity and drive on-time, on quality, on-cost execution

· Partner with KIK quality leadership on championing quality culture across our external manufacturing network

· Develop and negotiate contracts, long-term agreements and amendments with suppliers

· Review contracts ensuring compliance around pricing, payment terms, volume commitments, rebates, etc.

· Support Legal Team in the administration of contract data, addendums, and additional supplier documentation

· Support risk management assessment relating to supplier vulnerability, sourcing options, and material availability

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree required in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business, or related discipline.

· 5+ years of supply chain experience required.

· 2+ years of experience in procurement or contract manufacturing required. Experience must include strategic sourcing experience with Finished Goods or direct materials at an enterprise level.

· High volume liquid filling experience/contract filling experience required. Chemicals experience strongly preferred.

· Experience managing multiple plants/sites, industrial process-oriented manufacturing environment with a minimum of $35M of spend required.

· Demonstrated command of complex sourcing, negotiating, and commodity strategies.

· Strong people and influence management skills essential. Strong initiative and planning skills a must.

· Critical thinking and excellent analytic abilities essential.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with the ability to tailor the message to suit the audience a must.

· Ability to travel 15-25% of the time domestically.
