Wichita Mountains Prevention Network (WMPN) is hiring a full-time Community Based Coalition Coordinator to serve Carter County.

This position is grant funded through the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) to prevent the misuse and abuse of stimulants, alcohol, and marijuana through evidence based prevention strategies. Community Based Prevention Services will include an array of evidence-based programs, policies, and practices planned and implemented at the local level to prevent risk factors from contributing to substance use and related consequences.

CBPS Coordinator responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Written communication such as press releases, social media posts, informational print materials, etc...
• Partner with local organizations such as law enforcement agencies, schools, treatment facilities, health departments, etc...
• Attending/coordinating community events
• Meet with key stakeholders/decision makers in the community on substance abuse issues
• Review, assess, and address local laws and organizational policies

Staff will work alongside local partners to develop and implement a prevention plan that will address substance abuse issues. Pay is $18/hour + a monthly cell phone stipend and reimbursement for travel costs. This position is full time at 40 hours per week. WMPN embraces diversity.

Applicants must be able to pass a drug screening and background check and have reliable transportation. Applicants should be experienced with Microsoft Office applications and social media.
