Job description
Responsible for reviewing prices, terms, and conditions of purchases with vendors. Reviews all requisitions and places purchase orders for products needed by assigned departments with the most cost effective source. Operates with the use of a Materials Management Information System; manages and updates catalog and vendor file information. Produces reports and product cost analysis as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Educational and/or Professional Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or GED preferred.
2. Associates or bachelors degree in business or related field and/or 1 year purchasing experience required.
Other Special Training/Skills:
- Good analytical and communication skills.
- Computer skills utilizing spreadsheet applications such as Excel is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical supplies is preferred.
