About the Position:

  • Procure, at minimum total cost, the necessary materials, components and/or sub-assemblies to manufacture saleable products.
  • Negotiate for and procure a variety of assigned commodities including those which are non-standard or of a technical nature.
  • Develop suppliers to meet our delivery, cost and quality requirements while maintaining assigned inventory levels.
  • Evaluating prices, specifications, and delivery dates and award contract to bidders or place orders with suppliers
  • Preparing purchasing documentation and verifying nomenclature and specifications of purchasing requisitions
  • Developing expertise on procurement of commodities related to integrated cockpit solutions products and components that support Aerospace requirements
  • Implementing continuous replenishment strategies with assigned suppliers
  • Executing supplier rationalization plans and support transition to existing and/or new suppliers
  • Supporting negotiation and execution of commercial agreement to reach lowest total cost including terms to mitigate economic and currency fluctuations as appropriate for assigned commodities (e.g., long-term agreements, make/buy, market tests, etc.)
  • Supporting, and when required leading, cost reduction projects and improvement initiatives to achieve overall business objectives
  • Updating and maintaining purchase orders in Materials Resource Planning (MRP) system for changes in design and delivery requirements
  • Balancing current and future demand requirements with supplier capabilities / capacities to ensure on-time delivery of purchased parts
  • Analyzing data, including enterprise requirements, planning information, and prepare reports as needed to facilitate and recommend actions to ensure optimal supply chain execution
  • Evaluating supplier performance requirements including quality, cost and timing expectations

Annual Salary Range: $67,976 - $188,976

Job requirements

Education / Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution
  • 3 or more years directly-related experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident (i.e. green card holder), political asylee or refugee
