It sells its industry leading brands such as Amerimax and Berger through long-standing relationships with the nation’s largest Retail Home Centers and Building Products Distributors such as Home Depot, Lowes, Menards, ABC Supply and Beacon Building Products.

The Company’s high growth Outdoor Living business manufactures beautiful outdoor shade structures and exterior cladding systems targeting the high-end residential and architectural segments through brands such as Equinox, Alumawood, and Knotwood. The Company is also a leading supplier of fabricated panels to the Recreational Vehicle industry which is benefitting from strong outdoor recreation and living trends.

Locally at our Plant in Duluth GA. we have an immediate opening for a Buyer I position. And it requires someone to work at the plant in person every day. This is not a remote or hybrid role.

#####Benefits for this position begin on the first day of the month following your start date. So if you started on April 6th or 26th, benefits would begin as of May 1st.####


Duties and Responsibilities for Buyer I


  • Prepare purchase orders and review requisitions for goods and services.
  • Monitors and manages supplier performance to ensure on-time and complete supplier delivery.
  • Actively works to acheive key performance metrics and benchmarks.
  • Monitors inventory levels, purchase order activity and problem inventory levels on an ongoing basis.
  • Monitor shipments to ensure that goods come in on time and troubleshoot delivery exceptions.
  • Develop understanding of item master and planning data elements.
  • Works with commodity directors to keep up with the vendor updates to adjust the purchasing plan accordingly.
  • Works with commodity directors to control material releases to manage inventory levels across the enterprise.
  • Learn and follow integrated processes among Operations, Sales, Purchasing, and outside suppliers to execute the planning/replenishment process.
  • Ability to learn the MRP process in Oracle to include forecasts, inventory taergets, safety stocks, and purchase orders.
  • Perform data analysis using Oracle database and/Data warehouse using appropriate tools and publish reports.
  • Maintain KPI’s.
  • Participate in the E&O management process.
  • Participate in S&OP process.

Prior Knowledge, Education and or Experience Requirements

  • 0 to 3 years experience in a planning/purchasing role within a production/distribution environment
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP desirable.
  • Four-year degree from and accredited college or university or 3 to 5 years of relavent work experience required. Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Manufacturing, Business, or related degrees preferred.
  • Experience buying commodities (aluminum) is an advantage
  • Experience purchasing from international suppliers is an advantage
  • Demonstrates strong bias towards continuous improvement.
  • ISM or similar certification a plus.
  • Desire to learn and grow.
  • Detail oriented with exceptional organization skills.
  • Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills.

Must be able to navigate in a windows based computer environment with experience in Excel and Word.

Knowledge of Oracle a Plus
