Position Overview:
The hotel breakfast attendant is responsible for ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of the breakfast service provided to guests. They play a crucial role in creating a positive guest experience by maintaining a clean and organized breakfast area, replenishing food and beverage items, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Set Up and Prepare Breakfast Area: Arrive early to set up the breakfast area, including arranging tables, chairs, and buffet station.
Ensure the cleanliness and neat appearance of the breakfast area, including tables, chairs, countertops, and serving stations.
Set up food displays and arrange items in an attractive and organized manner.
Maintain Food and Beverage Stations: Regularly check and replenish food and beverage items, including hot and cold breakfast items, pastries, fruits, cereals, bread, and condiments.
Monitor food temperatures and freshness, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Keep beverage dispensers, coffee machines, and other equipment clean and operational.
Clean and sanitize serving utensils, plates, and bowls as needed.
Provide Excellent Customer Service: Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, assisting with any inquiries or special requests.
Offer assistance to guests with carrying plates, refilling beverages, if needed.
Ensure guests' dining experience is enjoyable by providing a clean and comfortable environment and promptly addressing any concerns or issues.
Monitor and Clean Breakfast Area: Continuously monitor the breakfast area to maintain cleanliness and tidiness throughout the service.
Clear and clean tables promptly after guests have finished their meals.
Regularly sweep, mop, and vacuum the breakfast area to maintain cleanliness standards.
Follow Food Safety and Hygiene Practices: Adhere to food safety regulations, including proper storage, handling, and labeling of food items.
Monitor and record food temperatures to ensure food safety standards are met.
Report any issues or concerns related to food quality or safety to the appropriate supervisor.
Collaborate with Other Departments: Communicate effectively with Management, front desk, and other relevant departments to ensure smooth coordination and timely service.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a strong sense of cleanliness and organization.
- Positive attitude and a willingness to assist guests.
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of standing, walking, and lifting items.
