Job description
We are looking for experienced Box Truck Drivers to deliver building materials to our customers in a safe, timely and efficient manner. This is a Monday to Friday job with a starting pay of $18/hour.
Box Truck Driver Responsibilities
- Heavy lifting which includes loading material in/out of truck
- Transport building materials to customer job sites
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
- Collect and verify delivery instructions
- Report accidents or violations
Box Truck Driver Skills
- Proven work experience as a truck driver
- Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, etc.)
- No recent moving or driving violations
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
- Valid Class C driving license
