Position: Bilingual Kinship Navigator

Pay: $35 hourly

Classification: Part-time (Up to 15 hours per week, expected to end on or around 8/31/2023)

Reports to: Program Manager

Location: Houston, TX (Spring Branch)

Position Description:

The Kinship Navigator will provide for the coordination and delivery of services for clients and/or their families. The Kinship Navigator will assist the Program Coordinator in marketing, enrolling, and provision of services for clients and referral sources in the community. The Kinship Navigator is a knowledgeable individual able to provide support, guidance, referrals, and resource coordination to involved families. This position will provide non-clinical family assessments, crisis intervention, family and volunteer recruitment, screening, and implementation of services with limited resources.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Some experience in the social services industry

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) required for some positions.
  • Knowledge of Social Work practices
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain a professional, confidential work environment.
  • Ability to work with culturally diverse populations and work force.
  • Ability to work flexible hours which vary according to client needs.

Work Conditions:

  • Environment: Remote, Community Settings
  • Range of Schedule: Mon – Fri, 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Travel: Local
