Primary duties include:

We are looking for an Azure Network Engineer- The applicant must have engineering lead experience and extensive Azure knowledge and experience with integration, system analysis or programming experience, including developing Azure systems requirements and design specification.

Role for Azure network engineers include optimizing performance, resiliency, scale, and security of Azure networking solutions. These professionals deploy the solutions by using the Azure portal, the command line, and templates. They proactively monitor network environments to identify issues and minimize risk. Azure network engineers work with solution architects, cloud administrators, security engineers, application developers, and DevOps engineers to deliver Azure solutions. They also assist Azure support engineers in resolving connectivity issues reported by customers. Candidates for this position should have experience creating and managing compute, storage, and networking resources in Azure. They should understand networking fundamentals, such as name resolution, network protocols, and network address management.

LOCATION: Remote (but must reside and perform all work within the United States)

WORK HOURS: This position requires working online from 8:00 AM Eastern to 5:00 PM Eastern

Requirements Include:

• Application of activity and data modeling, transaction/workflow analysis, internal control, and risk analysis, coordinates and performs logical and physical systems designs.
• Proactive Customer Engagement – Understand and support their key solutions, workloads, and priorities on Azure including regular engagement on trend analysis, proactive monitoring, and event planning.
• Analyze and recommend contemporary and emerging technologies for deployment across the enterprise including but not limited to MPLS WAN in a dual carrier cloud, DMVPN, QoS policies, marking, and policy map.
• Subject Matter Expert in IP routing protocols including BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, IP Multicast, MPLS
• Strong Experience in implementing & configuring Azure Express Route.
• Network capacity management, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Design, testing, implementation, and supporting an enterprise WAN solution that integrate with 3rd party WAN providers and remote systems.
• RCA Ownership – Own and drive the timely delivery of quality root cause analysis (RCA) to understand and prevent future occurrence of reported issues.
• Engineering Engagement – Relentlessly champion and advocate driving product feedback, feature requests to address customer pain points and improve Azure resiliency.to support development, modernization, and migration in support of a government multi-cloud environment. Aside from technical qualifications, application should have effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Modern business methods and performance measurement techniques
• Prepare and maintain up to date documentation for internal and external customers detailing configuration of deployed solutions.
• Change and Configuration Management best practices.
• Enforce quality standards for engineered solutions and promote continuous improvement.

Education & Qualifications Required:

Required certifications:

• Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate
• Microsoft Certified Azure Network Engineer Associate

Preferred certifications:

• Designing and Implementing Microsoft Azure Networking Solutions
• At least 8 years of experience in systems infrastructure design, support, and administration
• At least 4 years of experience working with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 in a hybrid environment.
• Demonstrated experience in network design and operations of enterprise systems.
• 2-5 years of strong experience directly related to cloud computing (i. e. AWS, Azure, Private)
• Cisco certifications, CCNP Cloud a plus
• Azure networking including ExpressRoute, VNet, Virtual WAN, VPN, NSG, Load Balancer, BGP, routing, and firewall concepts (Palo Alto, etc.)
• Experience collaborating with technical teams of diverse IT related skill sets.
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of Mail routing and deploying in Government environments.
• Exemplary communication, analytical skills, and technical knowledge across the client environment.
• Ability to produce concise and clear technical documentation.
• Must have the ability to obtain a Public Trust and DHS clearance
