Responsibilities:
Getting the right products at the right price in the right Store at the right time is no small task. That’s what our Merchandising Partners do every day. They bring expertise in procurement, merchandising, culinary, analysis, pricing, quality assurance, demo programming, and inventory planning.

As an Associate eBusiness Manager, you’ll assist the eBusiness Manager in category strategy, profitability mix, execution, and product content, improve site findability (search / browse), analyze web KPIs / user behavior, and manage special projects as assigned.

What is the work?

As an Associate eBusiness Manager, you will:
  • Assist eBusiness Managers in overall profitability strategy for the online shopping experience; establish / manage relationships and partner with merchant team to drive profit opportunities, ideas, and strategy
  • Maintain a relentless critical eye for all things related to the User Experience; aim to remove as much friction across the purchase funnel as possible
  • Develop expertise in online merchandising and related best practices
  • Collaborate with site content & catalog team daily regarding site maintenance, product collections, and special projects
  • Review KPIs and web behavior metrics to generate data-driven insights and actions
  • Manage product recommendations, basket builders, and trade-up strategies
  • Stay current with trends and competition; helps develop online competitive analysis as needed
  • Collaborate with Digital Marketing team to drive channel effectiveness for paid search, affiliate, e-mail, SEO, retargeting, etc.
  • Maintain flow of products and seasonal flips while analyzing the yearly offering holistically; determine what makes sense seasonally for customers
  • Recommend product enhancements and pilots to drive business
  • Take calculated risks to drive business forward
  • Develop / mentor / train team on area of expertise as needed

Preferred Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years of experience in a retail or eCommerce environment
  • Experience in online merchandising or marketing
  • Advanced computer, tablet, and smartphone skills

Preferred Key Competencies
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills at strategic, financial, and tactical levels
  • Strong verbal / written communication skills
  • Ability to work / lead / resolve issues cross-functionally

Physical and Other Requirements
  • Function in a fast-paced, retail, office environment
  • Sit for an extended period of time
  • Some travel required with occasional overnight stays
