Media.Monks is expanding with key Creative roles. As an Associate Creative Director of Copy, you'll be on a fully dedicated team helping to lead our copy craft for one of the world's biggest companies. You'll partner with designers, strategists, and creative leads internally, and collaborate closely with senior clients to develop content spanning from assets at scale, campaigns, videos/animations, presentations, and more. The ideal candidate can stay humble while pushing the work forward in an environment that encourages expression, inclusivity, and collaboration. Associate Creative Directors work under the guidance of a Creative Director a Craft Lead to develop concepts and directions for creative ideas, campaigns, and executions. This key role will be working directly in a client facing team, building out strategic thought and creative ideas that will have a global reach. You will be part of building and defining a new breed of creative agency with some of the most innovative digital, social, technology and production expertise at your disposal.


Role
The day-to-day role of a Senior Copywriter typically involves:
  • In this key role, you'll help lead a team to craft content for one of our biggest global clients.
  • Produce high-quality communications, from concept to execution, generating the expression of ideas across multiple forms of digital media – web, social, video, toolkits, etc.
  • Develop strong client relationships and be seen as a true partner with a deep understanding of their brand and product offerings.
  • Provide innovative solutions to creative problems and serve as the go-to person when solutions are needed.
  • Champion strategically-led ideas that are aligned with the client's brand and messaging guidelines, while optimized for channel and audience.
  • As part of our team, you'll be collaborating with designers, other copy leads, animators, as well as with PMs, operations managers and a lot more talented Monks from all over the world.
  • Mentor, lead, and manage more junior members of the team.
  • You will oversee copy for all projects in production, working with the team to verbalize ideas, iron out concepts, solve creative issues through words, and nail the copy.
  • You go above and beyond the original brief to push what's possible at a creative level, even under tight deadlines.
  • As a ACD at Media.Monks, you're part of the most awesome agency on the planet, operating as 'one office across 12 locations' with an incredible in-house team of 9000+ teammates and counting.

Requirements
  • You have your finger on the pulse of creative cultures, trends, and technologies.
  • Several years of Copywriting experience within Advertising and Marketing is required.
  • You combine creative writing with critical thinking; your analytical approach enables you to ask the right questions and waterproof ideas from a conceptual perspective.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing your work across multiple formats (Digital, Video, Social, etc.) is required.
  • You can always make a case for your copy, rationalizing your choices and considerations to win people over with your words.
  • Experience crafting brand voice, tone, and style guides ensuring consistent language across multiple touchpoints.
  • You combine creativity with critical thinking; your analytical approach enables you to ask the right questions and make sense of content and sales strategies.
  • Great communication skills and experience collaborating through shared documents and presenting work to clients through writing, in person, or over video chat.
  • You are an incredibly detail-oriented and organized person who never misses an Oxford comma.
  • Ability to own projects from concept through execution and delivery.
  • Ability to direct and/or give guidance to junior/mid-level/senior copywriters
  • You're comfortable jumping in and out at any stage of a project—from first ideas to final words—always delivering tight work, even under tight deadlines.
  • Hands-on experience using Google tools such as Gmail, Docs, and Slides, some understanding of design tools (FIGMA) and principles, and ability to learn new tools as required.
  • You know how to maintain a positive vibe and can inspire those around you with your work and attitude.

Compensation & Benefits
The anticipated salary range for this position is $130k - $145k annually. Salary is determined by a combination of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography. A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, generous paid time off, and other benefits also are available.
