Job description

Assistant Manager at a Premier Dog Day and Overnight Camp

Weekends Required

Ideal candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ideal candidates must be technologically proficient.

You will be answering phone calls, emails, communicating with clients (and potential clients) and must be detail-oriented enough to manage calendars and schedules.

Candidates must have excellent organizational skills and be capable of working efficiently (quickly and correctly), while managing several tasks and responsibilities concurrently.

Responsibilities include creating reservations, completing intake and outtake for the Canine Campers, collecting payments, managing the Grooming and Enrichment Schedules, prepping meals and maintaining multiple clean, fresh water sources within Camp, cleaning (very stringent cleaning schedule), and spending time with the Canine Campers.

Approximately half of the time, candidate will be managing the facility (maintaining the front desk, completing administrative/marketing tasks, and delegating tasks to staff members).

The remainder of the time, candidate will be responsible for maintaining a stringent cleaning schedule (actively managing or delegating to other staff members), facilitating daily feeding schedules for Campers, cleaning their group and individual lodging areas (you will be cleaning vomit and diarrhea in some instance, as we do work with live animals), and generally being helpful around Camp (you will assist and report director to a franchise owner).

This job is not 100% administrative. This is a very fast-paced job, sometimes a high pressure environment. Policies and procedures are very important when caring for live animals, and we are very detail-oriented.

Candidate will be performing various duties and functions within the Camp environment, however, during high-volume times, the Front Desk takes priority. Candidate will also be responsible for facilitating breaks from the Play Areas for Campers and Counselors, along with facilitating day to day operations within the Camp.
