Job description

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the A/P invoice processing and entry, answer Accounting Office telephone, managing office supplies and inventories. This position is expected to work closely with the Accounts Payable Manager, Controller and the Accounts Receivable Manager to fulfill all necessary Accounting for the organization. The role requires discretion with member data, excellent interpersonal skills while dealing with all levels of the organization, and the ability to work unsupervised.

Successful candidates will have the ability to identify and address process inefficiencies. They should also be resourceful, self-motivated and able to handle multiple issues at once while helping to contribute to a positive work environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Daily A/P invoice coding and entry
• Manage office procurement processes to improve efficient use of vendors
• Order office supplies and maintain office stationary stock
• Respond to customer and vendor account inquiries

Knowledge & Experience

• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• 3+ years’ experience with Accounts Payable
• Cash or Bank Account Reconciliation experience a plus
• Hands-on person with strong sense of commitment to the task at hand
• Experience with 10-key data entry
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Jonas Software experience helpful, but not required
