Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital at Bethany (a UHS facility):
Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital at Bethany is a 60-bed psychiatric hospital offering adult behavioral health programs and treatment services. Our team of dedicated professionals provides crisis stabilization and medication management to patients who have disorders such as depression, anxiety, mood disorders, paranoia and schizophrenia. We provide a secure haven for patients who are having suicidal or homicidal thoughts. We can help patients regain their sense of self-worth. At Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital at Bethany, we offer an adult inpatient program that specializes in depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety and other mood disorders. The adult inpatient mental health treatment is for individuals over the age of 18 with severe mental illness that is impacting their ability to function.

Position Summary:
The PRN Yoga Instructor will work with patients with a range of physical abilities and mental health diagnoses to aid in personal wellness and connecting the mind with the body. The Yoga Instructor will teach a positive relationship with the body by way of utilizing physical techniques (e.g., stretching and/or strengthening yoga postures) & mental training (e.g., breathing techniques, meditation, mindfulness or somatic awareness exercises). The Yoga Instructor will design curriculum and lead groups for Children (ages 5-12), Adolescents (age 12-17) and Adults (ages 18+). Work flow will include approximately 3 groups per day at an assigned time plus individualized documentation for each patient immediately following the completion of group.

Education/Licensure:

• Certified Yoga Instructor or Registered Yoga Instructor.

Experience:

• One (1) year of experience as a Yoga Instructor.
• Understanding of mental illness, preferred.
