We are looking for an individual with great attention to detail to join our team as a grading inspector. Performs operational work related to receipt, inspection, grading, shipment, storage, distribution or delivery of products, parts and materials. Loads, unloads, moves or stores items according to routing documents or supervisor instructions.

Schedule: MON-FRI from 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM
OT Schedule: MON-FRI from 4:30 PM – 3:00 AM*

• This schedule is implemented per production needs. Both schedules will require some weekend hours to meet production needs.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Operates the inspection stations proficiently (Both cross tie inspection and switch tie inspection) at or above target production levels.
• Performs all duties of machine operator and laborer positions as required.
• Completes daily inspection and maintenance report for assigned station and identifies operational issues.
• Performs daily maintenance for assigned station.
• Participates and contributes to company safety program.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or GED
• Experience: 6-12 months previous experience required
• License/Certification: N/A

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Pass the RTA tie grading seminar
• Experience in wood grading of at least one year
• Proficient knowledge of current grading rules and customer specifications
• Computer experience
