AFC Urgent Care in South Portland has quickly developed a wonderful reputation in the community for having a professional, kind and efficient medical team that can be depended upon to deliver the highest quality urgent care. Our state-of-the-art center is located just over the Casco Bay Bridge in South Portland. We are looking to expand our team with Medical Receptionists who seek to deliver exceptional experiences to our patients. This role is part time for weekend shifts only.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet our patients as they enter the center always making them feel welcomed
• Provide patients with the necessary forms to complete providing explanations and assistance as needed
• Register patients entering demographic and insurance information with upmost accuracy into our electronic medical record system
• Verify insurance eligibility, collect and record receipt of co-pays
• Answer telephone calls and relay messages as needed
• Perform various clerical duties such as photocopying forms, faxing and scanning
• Help to ensure that the patients are flowing through the center efficiently

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficient with the use of computers, experience with electronic medical record systems preferred
• 2-3 years of customer service experience, medical reception experience preferred

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
