Moxie Pest Control is the fastest-growing pest control company in the industry. We’ve been in business for 20 yrs but still, move like a start-up. This position requires someone that can work in a fast-paced start-up environment with little direction. Being proactive and driving progress on reporting and data projects is key to success in this role. No day will be the same in this role.

Responsibilities

• Work on both front and back-end development
• Build pixel-perfect, buttery smooth UIs across both mobile platforms.
• Leverage native APIs for deep integrations with both platforms.
• Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks for performance that feels native.
• Reach out to the open source community to encourage and help implement mission-critical software fixes—React Native moves fast and often breaks things.
• Maintain code and write automated tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality.
• Learn existing code base and architecture
• Assist in development with external development teams
• Provide assistance with bugs and quick fixes
• Own technical strategy with IT & Data Director
• Assist in identifying future development partners
• Become a subject matter expert on the current code base
• Become an expert on the business to ensure products fulfill the needs of the company and end users

Skills & Requirements

• Firm grasp of the JavaScript {{and TypeScript or ClojureScript}} language and its nuances, including ES6+ syntax
• Knowledge of {{functional or object-oriented}} programming
• Ability to write well-documented, clean Javascript code
• Rock solid at working with third-party dependencies and debugging dependency conflicts
• Familiarity with native build tools, like XCode, Gradle {{Android Studio, IntelliJ}}
• Understanding of REST APIs, the document request model, and offline storage
• Experience with automated testing suites, like {{Jest or Mocha}}
• 2+ years of professional experience working with React Native.
• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience working with Swift, Objective C, and Java a plus but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
