Tutta Bella is excited to be opening its brand new Culinary Innovation Hub! Located in the SODO neighborhood of Seattle, our Hub is the home of our Grab-and-Go artisans who produce our top quality, handmade signature salads, heat-and-eat pastas, signature Neapolitan wood-fired take-n-bake pizzas, and our award-winning tiramisu! Our artisans put in the same care and attention to quality that our guests have come to expect in our restaurants, now available around the Puget Sound from retailers including QFC, Fred Meyer, Costco, and Smith Brothers. The Warehouse Support Specialist is responsible for transporting employees between our Bellevue restaurant location at Crossroads Mall and our Culinary Innovation Hub in SODO using our shuttle vehicles. When not driving a shuttle, the Warehouse Support Specialist will perform tasks in the Hub warehouse including receiving supplies and ingredients, stocking and picking supplies and ingredients, and maintaining the warehouse and dock areas. Additionally, the Warehouse Support Specialist will be trained to serve as a backup for our Route Driver/Merchandiser team by driving a route instead of their regular duties. This position is based in Seattle’s SODO neighborhood at our Culinary Innovation Hub, a custom-built 15,000 square-foot brand new food production facility. We have employee parking available and are walking distance from the 124 and 132 Metro bus lines.

WHAT WE ARE OFFERING:

  • Starting wage of $24.00 per hour with a performance-based wage review after 90 days.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN IN YOUR FIRST 90 DAYS:

  • How to drive shuttle vehicles at the start and end of production shifts to provide transportation for employees in a safe and timely manner.
  • Get training and maintain required certifications for forklift and powered pallet jack use as directed.
  • Complete and maintain all required trainings as provided by Tutta Bella in accordance with FDA and USDA requirements.
  • How to receive incoming deliveries of ingredients, packaging materials and other supplies.
  • How to perform monthly inventory of supplies and ingredients and support inventory control.
  • How to properly stock delivered supplies in assigned storage locations.
  • What an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is and how to support the maintenance of the data that goes into it.
  • How to maintain our shipping and receiving area as a safe and organized workplace.
  • How to identify and report barriers to completing daily shipping and receiving tasks to a supervisor or manager.
  • How to read route sheets as part of our Route Driver/Merchandiser team.
  • How to deliver and merchandise our retail products in stores including QFC, Fred Meyer, and Costco.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to work while standing and walking for up to 3 hours without sitting.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods for up to 2 hours at a time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly without strain.
  • Must be able to safely lift up to 80 pounds occasionally.
  • Must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle without accommodation. Training on driving a 16-foot and 26-foot truck provided.

Work Environment:

This position will regularly work conditions open to the elements such as loading dock conditions. This position will regularly work in conditions that are exposed to outdoor weather and temperature conditions. All work must be performed wearing required and appropriate safety equipment including slip-resistant shoes, gloves, and florescent vests. This position will occasionally need to wear food safety equipment including a lab coat, hairnet, and food-safe gloves.

Additional Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be fluent and literate in English in order to review and process invoices and interface with the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States of America (USA).
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Maintain a clean driving record with no more than 1 at-fault violation or moving violation within 3 years.
  • Non-CDL position (CDL NOT required).
