Summary

Warehouse Supervisors work in a large, multi-faceted distribution center environment and are responsible for direct supervision of multiple employees in a unit fulfillment department handling functions such as Picking, Packing, Bin fill, and Outbound Shipping. The Supervisor will also be responsible for order accuracy, quality assurance, and ensuring that all customer requirements are satisfied. The primary area of focus is on employee engagement. This includes decision making in evaluating scheduling needs, performance, recommendations for hiring, training, termination and disciplinary actions. The Supervisor will ensure that daily KPI’s and volumes are met or exceeded. A high level of independent discretion, judgment, creativity in problem solving, execution of business strategies is required relying heavily on experience and/or industry standards. This role will provide leadership and direction to the team including but not limited to warehouse leads and other employees to determine the changes necessary to procedures and/or conditions to positively impact operations.

Responsibilites:

  • Spends 90% or greater of the time in the warehouse with employees working to build relationships, coach, teach, develop, troubleshoot, and provide performance feedback.
  • Responsible for creating and supporting a positive work environment by observing and coaching employees on proper job-related behaviors and providing timely feedback on necessary action plans.
  • Makes recommendations to and supports the Operations Manager in addressing employee performance evaluations for warehouse employees.
  • Improves efficiency, quality and service of ongoing work by identifying process improvements and using best judgment to determine next steps for influencing change and partner with management to resolve
  • Responsible for scheduling and assigning work, meeting completion
  • Ensures that KPI’s and accuracy standards meet both DC objectives and customer requirements
  • deadlines, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies, procedures and/or best practices.
  • Presents problem analysis of operational issues, recommends and implements solutions in a creative and logical manner.
  • Assists in ensuring the security of the facility, its environment, employees and contents. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety in accordance with OSHA, the Company’s Injury & Illness Prevention Plan (I.I.P.P.), and other appropriate standards. Ensures the efficient and safe operation of material handling equipment
  • Completes all necessary warehouse operations records, reports and other administrative projects in a timely and accurate manner. Computes and analyzes daily, weekly metrics.
  • EducationHigh School Diploma required (or equivalent). Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, supply chain logistics, or other closely related discipline preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
