Position: AW Order Selector // Coore Order Selector

Starting Pay: $15.50/hour

Hours of Work

This position begins work at 2pm and ends when all orders are filled, Monday through Thursday. This position also works on Sunday’s when schools are in, starting at 9 am and ends when all orders are filled. Some hours/days vary depending on delivery appointments, holidays, staffing, etc.

Position Summary

An order selector is responsible for selecting product in a safe and efficient manner which includes reading labels, placing product in the proper locations on pallets and preparing it for shipping. Order selectors accomplish this by following standard work instructions. This position is physically demanding and entails exposure to varying temperatures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Have the ability to adapt to changes in the work environment including the use and types of materials/tools, methods and work instructions

· Must be a team player. The ability to communicate well with others

· Must be able to work well independently or with a team

· Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

· Must be able to work a full-time schedule which includes nights, holidays, Sunday’s and overtime as required

Education and/or Experience

· High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

· Good communication, organization, time management and mathematical skills

· Dependable and reliable

Knowledge

Knowledge of food, food ingredients and non-food products and their application.

Physical Demands

· Must be alert and focused

· Must be able to perform physically demanding activities (such as standing, walking, squatting, kneeling, sitting, climbing stairs and balancing for long periods of time)

· Regularly lift and/or move objects weighing 10-80Ibs and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100Ibs with assistance

· Able to use hand and power equipment (such as riding jack)

· Forklift certification within 30 days of job entry date
