SUMMARY

The Warehouse Operations Manager will assist in making sure that efficient systems are in place to enable the company to attain its objectives of maximum productivity. Has the responsibility of assisting the logistics of the organization. Responsible for assisting the continuous improvement initiatives for all departments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist Director of Operations in supervising daily operations of the organization
  • Enhance the operational procedure, systems and principles in the areas of information flow and management, business processes and enhanced management reporting.
  • Organize and intensify efficiency support services by improving functions and coordinating communication between businesses and support functions.
  • Assist and manage projects through to Installation and completion.
  • Supervise overall planning systems, financial management and control.
  • Perform organizational roles that ensure that protection regulations are followed.
  • Supervise operations team to ensure operation excellence and excellent customer services.
  • Address operational issues and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Assist in implementing smooth, speedy and efficient workflow in all areas. Coordinate with all departments to review, and ensure successful implementation and ongoing process maintenance and support.
  • Assist in problem-solving on related topics between user departments, service departments and vendors.
  • Conduct quarterly safety meetings and assign topics as necessary.
  • Approve and document all attendance requirements and time off request for direct reports.
  • Assist in performing yearly evaluations for direct reports.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to the Director of Operations. Supervises all personnel assigned to a given project.

QUALIFICATIONS

Sufficient organizational skills and ability to carry out multiple and intricate tasks. Prior familiarity with operations management principles and adequate exposure to the use of computer applications a plus.

Good communication skills and the ability to work well with people are essential. Good leadership skills are needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to communicate orally with vendors, management, and other co-workers. Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential. Sitting for extended periods is common. Hearing, vision, and speaking within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents.

Heavy lifting will be required. Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computer terminals, calculator, copiers, and FAX machines.

Good reasoning ability is important. Able to understand and utilize management reports, memos, and other documents to conduct business.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The job is performed indoors in a traditional office setting. Activities include extended periods of sitting while working at a computer and occasional fast-paced operations and events.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
