Summary/Objective: Full time associate is responsible for loading and unloading customer orders, staging product, and assisting around the lumberyard
Essential Functions:
Supervisory Responsibility: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment: This position can involve working outdoors or being exposed to wet, humid, extremely hot or extremely cold conditions. May require working in a highly precarious place and near moving mechanical parts. There may be a risk of electrical shock. The position may be exposed to vibrations, airborne particles or toxic chemicals.
Physical Demands: This position involves frequently standing, walking, use of hands, reaching, talking, listening and writing. Periodically lifts up to 80 pounds, stoops, crouches. Rarely sit, climb, balance and crawl.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Hours of work depend on hours of operations. Willing to work 48+ hours per week preferred
Travel: This position does not require any travel.

- Provide excellent customer service
- Load, unload, store and package material manually as needed
- Pick and pull production material as needed
- Using power saws, air nail guns, staplers and other tools needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment and observe all safety rules posted
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos; write simple correspondence; effectively present information to others one-on-one
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions; deal with problems involving a few concrete variables and standardized situations
- The desire to learn and master job responsibilities

Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 3+ months related work experience and/or training a plus
Grooming/Uniform:
- It is an expectation the associate in this role will be neatly groomed with good hygiene
- A uniform is required, which includes an 84 Lumber shirt, pants, boots, and any other PPE’s as requested
Pay: $18/hour plus full benefits and opportunity for career advancement

Screenings:

- Shrink control
- Forklift Operation
- Keeps management aware of any delays or discrepancies
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos; write simple correspondence; effectively present information to others one-on-one
- Maintains lumber yard including keeping material well organized and safe
- Respond to inquiries from other associates
- Must be able to periodically lift up to 80 pounds
