Vice President, Strategic Global Sourcing

The Vice President, Strategic Global Sourcing is responsible for developing and directing the sourcing and purchasing functions while collaborating with other teams to reach corporate financial and inventory goals and developing best in class processes.

Job Summary:

• Builds and directs the company's global sourcing strategy and action plan roadmap;
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop and execute corporate global sourcing strategies to minimize the cost of products/services while optimizing service, inventory levels and/or profit margins;
• Work with key stakeholders to ensure the sourcing process is embraced by the organization;
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance and other internal organizations when appropriate when considering purchasing transactions that may have measurable impact to those organizations using data available from the company's ERP systems;
• Assures that work flow processes and productivity levels are consistently met, taking prompt action to minimize obstacles;
• Effectively and regularly communicates with, coaches, trains, and develops the purchasing team to enhance and leverage on the team's talents and abilities;
• Develops and measures appropriate performance metric using data available in the company's ERP systems and implements appropriate adjustments to process when and where appropriate;
• Leads relationship development with the company's key strategic supply partners.

Skills/Abilities:

• Ability and drive to work towards best in class processes to meet corporate financial and inventory goals;
• Demonstrated negotiation, customer service and collaborative skills;
• Proven decision-making and negotiating skills, as well as strong leadership, coaching and team development skills;
• Strong business acumen including building internal and external strategic alliances and success with initiating and seeing initiatives through to completion;
• Ability to build data-driven processes around spend analytics that drive value;
• Ability to travel up to 20%

Experience & Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Contract management and Procurement or a related field.
• MBA preferred
• 10 - 12 years of sourcing, purchasing, buying, inventory control or management experience;
• 5+ years of leadership experience;
• 3+ years of international sourcing and procurement.
