**Visual merchandising assistants at Ashley help the merchandiser design and set up a retail display. Their job duties are to procure materials for displays, product placement, help with administrative tasks, plan implementation, and provide creative input. **

Responsibilities of A Visual Merchandising Assistant:

• Traveling between store locations is Required
• Develops creative visual concepts to build attractive store displays
• Assists in creating floor plans, and situates displays in an ideal position to encourage sales
• Build and stock store displays
• Placing and removing signage for sales and special events within the store
• Creating, printing, & placing product tags
• Researching current industry trends
• Account for the company's message and vision and creatively incorporate them into visual design

Qualifications for a Visual Merchandising Assistant:

• A Love of interior decorating and design is required
• High school Diploma Required
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Knowledge of the Furniture industry preffered
• Ability to work diligently with little supervision
• Confident in creating and communicating concepts in business meetings and to supervisors
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential
• Excited and energetic in designing new ways to reach customers
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and creative environment
• Adherence to the brand's goals, philosophy and policy regarding marketing and sales strategies

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
