We’re looking for an virtual transition associate to join our ranks! Do you possess a strong attention to detail? Are you dedicated to indispensable service? Do you thrive in an environment rooted in processes and procedures? Then we should talk.


As a transition associate in our Transition department, you will support new financial advisors and their staff during the pivotal time they move their practice to Commonwealth. In this mostly behind-the-scenes, virtual role, you will be a key player in supporting their offices by facilitating the movement of client accounts.


Please note:
To help keep the Commonwealth community healthy, this position is being offered as full-time remote work, with technology provided by the firm. Once employees are able to safely return to our Waltham and San Diego offices, a partially remote schedule may be considered.


Key Responsibilities

  • Working and collaborating directly with newly joined financial advisors to assist in successfully onboarding their clients
  • Conducting phone conversations with advisors’ clients to gather data to open new accounts while setting expectations on next steps and requirements
  • Establishing accounts with accuracy, and sending all required forms to clients electronically or physically
  • Reviewing completed physical and electronic new account documents for accuracy and completeness
  • Providing DocuSign system guidance and support to advisors and their clients
  • Supporting the Transition department with other administrative and operational tasks

Additional Skills and Knowledge

  • Experience working in an advisor’s office preferred
  • Virtual support experience preferred
