The Video Production Assistant is responsible for assisting with all pre-production, production, and post-production of Museum & Library programs, videos, podcasts, initiatives, events, and rental events. This job will work under the direction of the Director of Video Production to perform all tasks needed to create engaging content for all PMML outlets.

ESSENTIAL POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• A bachelor’s degree from an established Media, Design or Art University program or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience from which comparable skills can be acquired.
• 1 year of relevant work experience preferred
• Experience using NLE editing software (Final Cut Pro preferred)
• Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom, Audition, Media Encoder)
• Experience as a Camera Operator, audio engineer, teleprompter operator, and stage manager
• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Organized and detail oriented
• Able to design and follow a timetable of events respectful to the project.
• Respectable verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexible schedule with the ability to work nights and weekends

ASSIGNED RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• As assigned, edits a variety of video products including but not limited to: Panel discussions, informational/educational video, audio podcasts, oral history videos, programs for TV broadcast, marketing promos, exhibit media, and more.
• Assists with pre-production and production planning activities including stage set, cameras, teleprompter, microphones, lights, webcasts, recording, and other related production needs.
• Assisting with post-production, including: video editing, identifying digital assets, file conversion, and publishing video.
• Establishes direct rapport and communication with A/V and production aspects of rental functions.
• Independently executes assigned projects to ensure that project goals, milestone and deliverables are achieved and tracked timely.
• Other duties as assigned.
