CUMULUS MEDIA | Westwood One, New York has an immediate opening for a full time Senior Vice President, Sales and Digital Audio Partnerships. This role is part of the Westwood One Leadership Team and critical to the organization. The ideal candidate will be a proven team leader, with the ability to coach and support a senior sales staff while simultaneously creating advertiser demand with an emphasis on Cumulus Media’s digital products. The candidate should have significant experience with digital media, robust relationships in the digital media space, and a proven track record to deliver results. This role will report directly to the President, Sales.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all ad sales in the East Coast region, including the New York and Atlanta offices, with responsibility for achieving revenue goals
- Lead the East Coast sales team to drive results through others, managing team performance and holding team accountable against business metrics
- Partner with the Network sales leadership team to develop and execute the digital audio sales strategy
- Drive digital audio ad revenue across the entire national sales organization with a primary focus on podcasting, training and coaching the Network sales team as needed with respect to digital audio sales
- As a player coach, also drive results through direct sales of your own with a hands-on approach
- Collaborate with the sales teams at Cumulus Media’s Radio Station Group to create and execute enterprise partnerships
- Work with FP&A to budget and forecast the business with accuracy and timeliness
- Willingness to travel as necessary
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
- 7-10 years experience required
- A smart, strategic approach to the business and an unstoppable will to win
- Strong marketplace knowledge of the audio ad space including digital audio, podcasting, and broadcasting, marketing, promotion, and collection standards
- Proven effectiveness managing successful sales teams, including employees in outside regions
- Demonstrable track record driving revenue through client-focused, consultative, multi-platform sales opportunities
- Proven ability to grow business and generate new revenue opportunities
- Strong command of the podcast marketplace, competitive landscape, and brand and performance advertisers
- Consistent ability to meet and exceed revenue and customer acquisition targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Technological savvy with respect to sophisticated advertising programs and delivery methodologies
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with confidence when pitching and closing business to senior-level executives and clients
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach, with the ability to work well with key members of other departments as a proven team player
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
