Looking for somewhere to grow? Humane Society of Marion County Animal Clinic is looking to add experienced Veterinary Technicians to our team. We are a brand new low cost, high volume animal clinic opening to the public. Shifts are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm surgical days start at 7:30am. Starting pay $16.00+ depending on experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Triage of incoming animals
• Effective communication of treatment plans with clients
• Assists with surgery and other veterinary procedures.
• Reports urgent cases to the veterinarian; and monitors patient progress.
• Provides professional and respectful client education and service to staff, volunteers, and the general public as needed.
• Performing laboratory testing including blood draws, urinalysis, cytology's
• Comfortable giving IM, SQ, and IV injections
• Experience using proper restraint techniques on animals

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be passionate about animals
• 1 year Experience as a Veterinary Technician
• Compassionate, Calm, Team Player, Multi- Tasker and Strong Communicator

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Accesses animals in cages and carriers.
• Lifts and moves up to 50 pounds.
• Possible extended periods of sitting and/or standing and repetitive motion.
• May be exposed to animal blood, urine, feces, saliva, fur and dander; zoonotic disease,'
