Veterinary People Manager / Clinic Coach

The People Manager handles all people-related tasks with a primary focus on finding new talent, effective training, employee engagement, career development, and retention; leading employees by employing an innate servant leadership approach. They're the "team coach" - providing direction, maintaining a team focus, and creating healthy boundaries. Like any good team coach, this person must also be able to set and achieve goals, be assertive, and take charge when needed. The People Manager will work closely with the owner of the practice to collaborate on team direction and growth, while also working closely with other team leaders, including operations and admin. We are looking for just the right individual with 2+ years of TEAM LEADING experience who expresses their passion in being an influential leader with the desire to be part of an incredible and rapidly expanding practice. It's imperative that this candidate has proven tactful communication skills, leads with empathy, effectively motivates/influences/empowers, and can demonstrate the importance of validation.

Position Requirements:
- At least 2+ years demonstrated competence in leading and supervising teams
- Experience or familiar knowledge of Human Resources (HR) - including onboarding/offboarding
- Must be able to work under the broad general administrative supervision of the practice owner and to be able to use sound personal judgment in coaching and employee development, prioritization, decision-making, and drawing conclusions
- Being a skilled & effective communicator
Nice to Have:
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree, CVPM, or other management/leadership certification
- Veterinary Experience
Job Status & Benefits - This is the Creative Part!
This position is a new creative role to AADC. The role is somewhat flexible, meaning we can discuss set hours and schedule for qualified candidates. Hours may range from 20 to 30 hours a week, and can be discussed.
Paid Time Off (PTO), Medical Insurance, Simple IRA retirement plan, a CE and scrub allowance, and Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
Hourly Pay Range: $20 to $26 hourly

In 2020, we welcomed another specialist to our growing team, Dr. Jennifer Petersen! We strive to improve the quality of life for pets and bring comfort to pet parents by utilizing our expertise in veterinary dermatology and providing exceptional follow-up care to pet parents and their family veterinarians. We are the only Veterinary Allergy and Dermatology practice in Southern Colorado and are proud to be part of the Veterinary Specialty Center (VSC), Southern Colorado’s premier referral hospital encompassing the specialty practices of internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, allergy and dermatology, orthopedic surgery, and 24-hour emergency services in a warm and welcoming environment.

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
