We are seeking a Vehicle Operator Instructor to provide support to the New Equipment Training (NET) efforts for ordinance vehicles. The specific tasks and requirements may include, but are not limited to the following:

Experience: At least six years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Familiarity with ordinance vehicle operations is required. Must provide proof of completion of Marine Corps Instructor Development Course (IDC) or equivalent and be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language, including technical language and terms associated with the operation, operator maintenance and field level maintenance of Ordnance Vehicles and associated communications and data systems. Must meet the prerequisite for training courses which require a swim qualification (WS-I), SVET and a physical fitness event.

Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and implement classroom and practical application curriculum for vehicle operations and operator-level routine preventative maintenance of the AAV/ACV system, subsystem and equipment controls. Maintain proficiency with ordinance vehicle systems and confirm to the Training Manager they are “Ready to Train” ten days prior to any instruction. Assist the Training Manager by collecting student feedback for the assessment of NET effectiveness

The employee must also have the ability to pass rigorous swim qualification equivalent to the current Water Survival Qualification – Intermediate and successfully complete the Submerged Vehicle Egress trainer (SVET).
