Reports to: Facility Manager

Supervises: No Supervisory functions

Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent Diploma

Experience: Background or knowledge in after-market vehicle electronics

Requirements: Valid driver’s license and clear BMV record

Primary Responsibilities:

• Removal and installation of mobile communication equipment, mobile data terminals, emergency lighting, vehicle camera equipment, security screens, vehicle consoles, and vehicle tracking devices.
• Disassemble and reassemble trim, seats, lights, headliners, and carpet in motor vehicles, heavy equipment and/or any other type equipment in order to properly route wiring and install equipment.
• Install antenna systems, route antenna, data, and power cabling, and apply a variety of electrical connectors.
• Review job requirements and determine optimal equipment placement and installation limitations.

Requirements:

• Ability to use basic tools and test equipment including: hand tools, power drills, multi-meters, watt-meters, and soldering equipment.
• Must physically be able to maneuver into and out of heavy equipment and work on ladders and other elevated locations.
• Understanding of basic wiring diagrams and basic DC circuit theory is required.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook is desired.

Must be able to work under pressure and independently, and be able to meet deadlines for delivering quality solutions on time.
