The vCIO’s primary role is to act as the trusted advisor to the clients of Framework IT, and help guide them through all things at the intersection of business and technology. In addition the vCIO will be the authority for all of their respective clients’ needs from sales through onboarding, to service, and project management.

What You’ll Do:

CIO Responsibilities

  • Work as CIO for Managed IT clients by planning, preparing, and leading initiatives

  • Project Management of all projects for their clients

  • Conduct business reviews with clients

  • Conduct monthly check-ins

  • Strategic road mapping

  • Act as trusted advisor for clients

  • Lead sales initiatives on journey items as well as other ad-hoc requests

  • Assist sales with pre-sales engineer work, perform assessments

  • Handles all quotes for their clients

  • Identifying technology risks to a business

Projects

  • Serve as monitor and control of projects within partnership base

  • Coordinate with Client and Project Lead Engineer to provide updates and address gaps or issues within a project lifecycle

Collaboration

  • Works closely with team on all quotes for your clients

  • Address escalations from the service team with assigned partners as needed

  • Assists in the development of the company tech stack/offering to partners with the VP of Consulting

Back-end/Admin

  • Submit timesheets promptly, thoroughly, and accurately, with appropriate breakdown of billable time by activity.

  • Documenting all changes and updates. Prepare comprehensive work product documentation, checklists, training materials, and standards documents to ensure high-quality service delivery, efficiency, and effectiveness.

What You Possess:

  • Desired Education/Certifications: - A+, N+, MCP, CCENT, CCNA

  • College degree or commensurate experience (5-7 years)

  • Desired Technical Knowledge of:

  • Networking

  • OSI Model

  • Hardware (Switches, Firewalls, APs)

  • Connectivity

  • Systems

  • Windows Server Operating Systems

  • Windows Workstation Operating Systems

  • Virtualization Hypervisors

  • Minimum 3 years Managed Service Provider experience preferred

  • Experience with a PSA (ConnectWise preferred)

  • Experience serving as a Project Manager preferred

  • MSP vCIO experience preferred

  • Physical requirements: ability to lift, carry, or move light hardware, up to 35 lbs. for delivery and installation purposes.
