JOB DESCRIPTION

Ultrasound Tech - Georgetown, KY

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Receives patients, explains method of procedure and makes sure patient is comfortable.

Provides patient services to all ages using imaging modalities.

Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices.

Maintains equipment and supplies and organizes work area.

Keeps accurate records, helps with scheduling of the ultrasound and keeps patient flow smooth.

Assists radiologist with interventional procedures as ordered. (eg; paracenthesis, needle aspirations/biopsy

SCHEDULE

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday- 8a-5:30p

- 1-2 call day per week

- Weekend Call: 1 weekend every 3-4 weeks (the US Tech will not be scheduled to work on weekends, but they'll be on a team that rotates weekend call)

- Holiday Call: 1-3 shared holidays a year

MUST-HAVES:

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT Sonography (S)
• RVT- vascular certification
• Must be able to work schedule listed, including call
• Needs to be RDMS certified in Abdomen or OB
