Job purpose

Repairs molds, dies and fixtures. Trouble shoots and repairs tow motors and other company equipment as needed.

Duties and responsibilities

· Performs work according to work instructions and customer specifications.

· Repairs defects and smoothes the interior of mold.

· Reassembles molds after repairing.

· Adds metal to or removes metal from plates, rings and molds.

· Documents all repairs on correct paperwork.

· Communicates concerns to manufacturing.

· Performs safe operation of hand tools, welding equipment and other required tools/equipment.

· Trouble shoot and repair tow motors and other company equipment as needed.

· Keeps work area clean and organized.

· Aware of consequences to employee, customer and environment if procedures are not followed.

· All other duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor.

Qualifications

· Required – High School diploma or GED or prior experience/training in manufacturing environment

· Required - Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws, polices, and rules. Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance as determined by company. Must be regularly available to work at least 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week. Must be available and willing to work such overtime as is necessary or desirable to meet business needs. Must be able to stand, bend and stoop. Regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and frequently lift up to 15 pounds.

· Trained in robot safety, hot works and lock out / tag out procedures.

Working conditions and environment

Noise may exceed 85db must wear hearing protection. Exposure to extreme heat.

Normal equipment used

Safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection and steel toed shoes are required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
