Job Title: Primary Therapist

Daniels Academy is a naturalistic residential treatment center supporting teenage youth with neurological differences. Students are prepared for independence by developing skills in executive functioning, regulating emotions, social learning, and life skills. This is accomplished through a nurturing therapeutic environment, innovative education, supportive community connections, experiential recreation, and strengthening family relationships.

Position Overview:

We are currently searching for a therapist who is interested in joining our skilled clinical team at our facility in Heber City, Utah. Interviews will be offered to candidates who have experience working with adolescents in a residential treatment setting and who have experience working with, or have a strong desire to work with neurodiverse individuals. Daniels Academy provides students and families a specifically designed and effective curriculum which will help to guide and facilitate your work. A caseload will average between 6-8 high-functioning individuals, and will include individual, family, and group therapy.

Primary Position Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all primary therapist duties and responsibilities for a caseload of up to eight (8).
• Specific clinical responsibilities for each case assigned including but not limited to the following:
• Initial treatment assessments and formulations (interviews with students, parents and significant others to obtain data on the patient's personal, social, developmental, and emotional history; timely completion of the Treatment Plan, clinical therapy notes, and other required documentation).
• Therapy delivery (individual, family, and group therapy weekly).
• Case Management (treatment interventions, therapeutic visits, case coordination with other disciplines, etc.).
• Communication with clients (Referral sources, parents/guardians, school officials, etc.).
• Timeliness of all necessary documentation (session progress notes, contact calls, monthly summaries, discharge summaries, special notes, orders, etc.).
• Participation in the implementation of all clinical aspects of the Daniels Academy.
• Completes all necessary documentation, including monthly summaries, discharge summaries, therapy session notes, special notes and contact calls in a timely thorough and professional manner according to the following deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in mental/behavioral-health or related field.
• Currently Licensed or License-eligible in the state of Utah in the related field (LCSW, LCPC, Psychologist, CMHC, LMFT, etc.).
• Training or experience with DBT, ACT, TF-CBT, Brainspotting, EMDR, are a plus.
