In-Depth Engineering seeks a Test and Evaluation Engineer to support our Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) Combat Systems Engineering Agent (CSEA) program. Our team of Engineers and Testers are responsible for developing and testing the latest software engineering efforts associated with the SSDS Baseline 12 Computer Program.


The work will be performed in our customer site in Moorestown, NJ.


Candidates with the qualifying skill set will receive training on SSDS program elements


Job Duties:


  • Perform and fix Trouble Report (TR) testing/ Change Requests (CR’s) issues of Combat System through resolution for all elements to be fully functional and support all test and operational events.
  • Perform code inspections, troubleshoot software
  • Extract and reduce data through pre and post mission analysis and support conduct of special tests and investigations
  • Participate in Engineering Technical Reviews
  • Utilize DOORS or similar tool to maintain the system baseline
  • Participate in software development and modernization efforts
  • Provide engineering support for the interfaces and capabilities and limitations

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in CS, CE, EE, Mathematics, Physics, or other related discipline.
  • 1+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with C++/Java
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting, integration and test, defect identification and closure
  • Experience with tools such as DOORS, ClearQuest, Confluence, Jira, COTS and Linux Operating System
  • Experience solving complex computer system problems and improving performance on one or more of the following platforms/operating systems: Linux, Sun/Solaris, DEC/OpenVMS, HP/HP-UX, Windows NT, Concurrent/PowerMAXOS.
  • Working knowledge of data communications and networking
  • Must be a U.S Citizen
  • Possess or have the ability to obtain a DoD secret clearance


Desired Qualifications:


  • Possess knowledge of SSDS equipment (safety, interfaces, and suites), standard operating procedures, data extraction requirements, set up configurations, planned maintenance procedures, and thorough understanding of digital, analog, and microwave test practices
  • Multiple element engineering experience with Aegis Weapons System baselines to be used for cross referencing and other DoD systems
