This recruitment will be used to fill multiple Temporary Camp Coach: Women’s Basketball positions for the Athletics department at Oregon State University (
OSU
).
The mission of the OSU Department of Athletics is to Go Build Excellent, Authentic, Visionary Student-Athletes (GO B.E.A.V.S.).
This position will assist athletic coaches during summer camps with drills, training, supervision, and safety.

Leading camp skill development sessions and drills, training of student camp workers and general oversight of campers during the camp.
25% CAMPER SUPERVISION / SAFETY
Ensures camper safety during drills and throughout their time at camp. May be involved in initial injury assessment and requesting medical assistance from staff trainers when necessary.
Minimum Qualifications

- Basketball experience at the D1, D2 or Junior college level.
- Experience working with youth.
- Demonstrable communication and teaching skills
- A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity
This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.

Working Conditions / Work Schedule
May be outdoor training along with some indoor activities.
This position is deemed essential and the incumbent may be expected to report to work during inclement weather, emergency and other University work curtailments or closures.
