TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT SPECIALIST

Martel Construction, Inc. will be evaluating candidates to serve as a Technology Support Specialist. Our firm, founded in 1960, provides construction services from offices in Bozeman, Bigfork, and Missoula, MT. We are capable and seek to self-perform significant elements of most of our projects. A 25,000 square foot state-of-the-art millwork shop in Missoula supports the entire company.
This person will help support approximately 100 users and their technology which typically includes a computer, mobile device(s), printer, and related hardware and software. They will also be responsible for the internal, external, and cloud networks in all three offices and all jobsites. You will be the primary help desk contact for the company’s basic technology issues.
Essential Job Functions:
- Setup and configure workstation and notebook computers for users and all related hardware and software.
- Conduct regular cleaning, updating, and virus scans of all company computers and hardware including WiFi Access Points, iPads, iPhones, webcams, etc.
- Maintain detailed notes on assets, passwords, and login credentials.
- Setup mobile devices and ensure they have adequate screen protection and cases.
Offer quick service when a device is lost or damaged.
- Conduct informal company training on company hardware and software like Office365, and SharePoint.
- Other tasks not related to IT might be assigned by supervisor or other company leaders.

- Be in the Bozeman Office 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday. This is not a remote position, nor does it require travel outside of occasional tech work on job sites in and around the Bozeman area.
- Willingness to respond to emergencies and other off-hour requests from users that require immediate assistance.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
- A reputation of exceptional organization, accountability, time management, and communication skills.
- A history of maintaining confidentiality and acting with honesty and integrity.
- All team members may be asked to perform duties and functions outside of their normal responsibilities to assist the company from time to time.
Qualifications:
- Associates or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (earned or in progress). We will consider a combination of related education and experience.
- Knowledge of installing and configuring windows. SharePoint and Windows Server are required.
- Experience with security appliances and network attached storage devices.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Minimum of two years working in a complex IT environment.
- Reputation of getting along with others.
Working Conditions:
- This is primarily an office position, working 8-5 Monday through Friday in an open office environment.
- Must be able to speak & hear detailed information through oral communication.
- Must be able to see clearly and recognize small details.
Compensation:
- This is a full-time hourly position although we may consider applicants wanting part-time if we get another qualified applicant to complement a desired work schedule.
- Annual compensation of $88,400. This includes wages of $72,800 ($35/hr) plus $15,600 in annual family insurance benefits.
- Family Insurance: Team members and their families are covered under our Group Health
Insurance Program. This insurance is provided with no out of pocket expense for premiums. Our comprehensive insurance plan through the Montana Contractors’Association covers the following for you and your dependents for health, dental, vision, and life insurance.
- Paid Time Off: This position is eligible for paid time away from work in which to relax, take care of personal matters, and observe holidays. This position earns 15 days of paid vacation
Additionally, we offer 7 paid holidays during the calendar year: New Year’s Day,
Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Friday Following
Thanksgiving, and Christmas
- Mobile Phone: We will provide or reimburse you for your monthly phone services that may be used for a reasonable amount of personal and business purposes.
- Incentive Pay & Bonus: You will have the opportunity to partake in a goal-driven incentive plan. This plan rewards employees for meeting their personal and professional goals as it relates to Martel Construction, Inc.
- 401(k): A 401(k) is available for participation after 90 days. A company match is reviewed annually based on the financial health of the company.
- Shareholder Option: Key employees are invited to participate in the company stock program. Further details will be provided upon request.
