Job description

Radin Consulting, Inc., a transportation planning, and design firm is looking for a full-time Technical Writer to support writing assignments related to a large transportation project in NYC. The position is hybrid, therefore, the candidate should be available to work at an NYC location. Salary will be based on qualifications and experience. All candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. and must be fully vaccinated for Covid-19.Note: A general salary range is provided; salary will be adjusted up or down based on type and length of required work experience.

Requirements and Responsibilities

A Bachelor’s degree in a field requiring extensive writing (i.e., English, Social Studies, etc.)

5 years of experience in technical writing

Good Writing Skills - Communicating effectively as appropriate for the needs of the audience.

Excellent Formatting and Word Processing Skills

Ability to attend virtual meetings and take meeting minutes (this is the primary function of this position)

Detail-oriented -- Job requires being careful about detail and thoroughness in assignments

Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, and asking questions as appropriate

Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.

Independence - Job requires developing one's own ways of doing things, guiding oneself with little or no supervision, and depending on oneself to get things done.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
