Grundfos is seeking an experienced Team Leader to join its Water Utilities Operations team. The Team Leader will be responsible to assist the APU Leader to organize and motivate employees toward achieving departmental goals for safety, quality, training, on-time work orders, housekeeping, and other areas of continuous improvement. This position reports directly to the APU Supervisor and will operate daily out of the Fresno, CA facility. Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support.


What is the job about?


  • Observe Team Members work methods to assure compliance with work instructions.
  • Coordinate training and cross training, ensuring needed skills and competencies are captured and employed.
  • Assist APU Leader with Staffing.
  • Assist with problem solving regarding accidents or near misses.
  • Inspect work area for potential safety hazards or problems, assist in the resolution of safety and ergonomic issues.
  • Train Team members regarding proper work procedures, proper use of tools and equipment, proper safety and Lock-out procedures and good ergonomic practices.
  • Escalate issues with upstream and downstream processes.
  • Actively drives quality standards by verifying standard work processes on a daily basis.
  • Accurately and promptly identifies, contains and escalates processes that may lead to scrap.
  • Report operating status and conditions (breakdowns)
  • Post information on DAM boards.
  • Actively participates in the MRB process and disposition of materials.
  • Actively track OPR, TPM, daily PMs, 5S, Safety & Quality.
  • Actively ensures continuous flow within the production line, identifying bottlenecks and implementing countermeasures to meet KPIs and the daily build plan.
  • Consistently drives positive, incremental improvements that deliver results.
  • Proactively supports GPS initiatives, implementing GPS tools for improvements.
  • Possesses and utilizes effective functional and technical skills of a manufacturing technician.


What do you need to apply?


Qualified candidates will possess a High School diploma preferred, plus 1 - 2 years’ production experience. A minimum of two years’ Grundfos assembly experience preferred, also, must currently work in area applying for preferred.


  • Ability to communicate, be a collaborative team member.
  • Able to influence positive behavior, with safety as a priority.
  • Able to coach, train, and develop team members.
  • Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Capable of both written and verbal communications in English.
  • Manual dexterity necessary. Able to use both hands and reach with hands and arms.
  • Specific vision abilities include close, distance and peripheral vision.
  • Able to work in a non-climate-controlled factory environment.

The pay range for this position is $25.67 to $32.06. Actual pay will depend upon skill set, experience, and location.
