Learn & Grow Creative Arts Center LLC is an inclusive, secular school located in Hermitage, TN. Learn & Grow offers a creative curriculum with a focus on a STEAM based academic approach including ASL, art, dance, English language arts, geography, music, science, Spanish, outdoor exploration, and much more.

We are currently accepting applications to join our Early Learners Preschool classroom (2 yr olds). The current schedule for this position is 8-4:30pm M-F.

This position requires the passing of a background check, completing the required online trainings, 3 references, and a physical. Applicants must have a copy of their HS diploma at a minimum. Experience working in DHS licensed childcare centers and knowledge of DHS rules with at least one year previous early Preschool teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop a careful and creative program suitable for toddlers
• Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.) to teach children
• Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
• Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers, colors, crafts etc.)
• Supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times
• Collaborate with other educators
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards

Skills

• Proven experience as a Preschool Teacher
• Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and toddler educational methods
• Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
• Excellent communication and instructional skills
• Friendly and reliable
• Balance between creativity and structure
• Certification in infant/child CPR
• Minimum education level = HS Diploma

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
