Could This Be For You?:
The IT Systems Engineer III - Remote position at Hanger is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organizations information technology systems. This includes the planning, design, implementation, configuration, documentation, and management of the system infrastructure, as well as developing processes, procedures, and reporting to support the environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working in both on-premises and cloud environments. This position will report to the Manager of Systems Engineering. Other duties include installing, configuring, testing and maintaining operating systems, application software and system management tools, as well as ensuring the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
Your Impact:
  • Design, configure, deploy, and maintain IT applications, servers, storage, and network solutions, both on-premises and in the cloud.
  • Proactively work to improve reliability, stability, and security of the cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Ensure systems comply with Sarbanes-Oxley, PCI, HIPAA, and internal security regulations and policies where applicable
  • Monitor, administer and support all server and storage platforms across the Hanger Enterprise – 1000+ servers
  • Provide support for any problems associated with the platform infrastructure
  • Assist in developing and architecting technology solutions as directed by management
  • Properly document and maintain an inventory of all server systems
  • Install, configure, and maintain server software and hardware
  • Replace failed hardware and address server systems problems
  • Troubleshoot reported incidents and problems
  • Knowledge of the ITIL framework

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5 years’ experience supporting large enterprise Windows server and Linux environments
  • 2 years’ experience supporting cloud workloads in Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure
  • Must have basic knowledge of programming or scripting skills in any language
  • Demonstrated experience with SCOM, SCCM, and Active Directory
  • Understanding of I.S. policies, procedures and management documentation
  • Experience with Active Directory, VMWare, cloud based solutions, backup and storage systems.
  • Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid driver’s license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger’s Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university is desired; 2 years of experience can be substituted for one year of formal education
Additional Success Factors:
  • Microsoft 365, Azure, VMware or Citrix certifications are a plus.
  • Understanding of Dell/Cisco UCS hardware, Rubrik, Pure storage and NetApp
  • Familiarity with Citrix, Ivanti, MS System Center, VMWare vRealize
  • Healthcare and/or financial application experience desired
