Supply Coordinator

Operation Paws for Homes (OPH) is looking for an enthusiastic Supply Coordinator to take on challenges big and small to support our team. Key Areas of Responsibility:

The Supply Coordinator provides support for a volunteer-powered organization with few paid staff. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

● Serves as a central point-of-contact for all supply needs and in kind donations.

  • Tracks and orders all rescue supplies
  • Coordinates and tracks in-kind donations
  • Prepares and transports supplies to the transport stop in Springfield, VA or Doswell VA.
  • Updates and develops SOPs and other related reference documents as needed
  • Uploads and reviews all incoming pet records
  • Maintains paperwork for transport van and volunteer drivers
  • Manages spay and neuter follow up
  • Manages, tracks, and organizes storage facility
  • Owner surrender support
  • Additional tasks as needed

This position requires a flexible schedule that may vary and will include several Friday evenings and Saturdays (based on rescue-related activity). The position requires strong organizational and time management skills, ability to learn quickly and independently; effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of volunteers, clients and staff.

Qualifications:

  • Must reside within 30 miles of Doswell, VA or Springfield, VA
  • Must have a valid drivers license and a good driving record
  • Experience with Microsoft Office or Google suite of applications (Google Drive, Google Docs).
  • Experience with Mail Chimp, Canva, and spreadsheets a plus.
  • Volunteer and/or non-profit experience a plus

  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn and use additional software programs as needed.

Nature of Employment: The Supply Coordinator reports to the Director of Animal Welfare. This is primarily a home-based, full time, paid position with paid time off. There are some local travel requirements. This position entails a flexible, non-traditional schedule that may change week-to-week, and will include some evening and weekend work. Healthcare supplement available to those candidates that qualify.

Salary Range: $29,000 - $31,000 (based on qualifications and experience)

Founded in 2010, Operation Paws for Homes (OPH) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization devoted to the rescue, rehabilitation and placement of animals who have overcome great odds and deserve caring forever homes. Our organization is volunteer-powered by a dedicated group of animal lovers. OPH does not operate a shelter or have a physical location. We rely on foster families and volunteers throughout Virginia, Maryland, Southern Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia (DC). OPH is 100% donor funded, we receive no funding from federal, state or county governments.

Mission: Creating a better world for companion animals and the community through rescue, rehabilitation, education, spay/neuter, and providing resources to underserved populations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $29,000.00 - $31,000.00 per year
