CENTRAL SUPPLY CLERK

Full Time - Cheswick, PA

Hands-on CENTRAL SUPPLY CLERK needed for Full Time care center position

HarmarVillage Care Center is a 130-bed Skilled Nursing Facility which includes an on-site dialysis facility, as well as Specialty Care Programs and a Center for the Memory Impaired.

The center is currently seeking a Central Supply Clerk to ensure the nursing department is running at optimal speed and efficiency. This hands-on, entry level role provides clerical support services specifically surrounding departmental supplies, equipment and purchasing.

Responsibilities

• Checking stock levels and maintaining proper inventory of all supplies
• Placing weekly orders for medical, personal, enteral feedings/tubing and oxygen supplies
• Checking incoming orders against purchase orders, and notifying the business office of any inaccuracies
• Checking monthly invoices for price changes and making appropriate changes in charge amounts
• Bar coding all supplies before storing, then reevaluating levels throughout the week so upcoming needs can be anticipated
• Scanning bar code sheets twice monthly, and relating billing information to the appropriate business personnel
• Updating residents’ supply information/records, as necessary
• Keeping the central supply and equipment room organized
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisors

Qualifications

Qualified candidate must have computer experience, attention to detail and good organizational skills. The ability to load and unload pallets and boxes is required as well as knowledge of medical equipment. Vaccination from Covid-19 is a condition for hiring, except where a bona fide religious or medical exemption is submitted. Candidates must be high school graduates with a functional knowledge of purchase order procedures, an ability to plan and organize effectively and strong interpersonal skills.
