Qualifications

• High school or equivalent (Required)
• Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
• CPR Certification (Preferred)

Requirements

• Comply with all Minimum Standards required by licensing
• Planning fun and educational activities for children ages 6-12 years.
• Must be flexible in receiving assignments or adapting to changes in the program
• Maintain an orderly classroom, conducive to learning
• Teach to the standards of performance required by the school
• Establish an effective working relationship with parents, students and other staff members
• Demonstrate competency, good judgment, and self-control in the presence of children and when performing assigned responsibilities
• Relate to children and adults with courtesy, respect, acceptance, and patience
• Recognize and respect the uniqueness and potential of all children, their families, and cultures
• Responsible for the overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children.
• Observes all rules and regulations at Life Church Learning Center West Campus and the local, state or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children.
• Implement the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule
• Attends all required staff meetings, workshops and/or school functions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour

Education:

Responsibilities

• Know which children they are responsible for and number in group
• Supervise children at all times
• Ensure the children are not out of control
• Be free from activities not directly involving teaching, care, and supervision of children.
• Interact routinely with children in a positive manner
• Foster developmentally appropriate independence in children with planned but flexible activities
• Foster a cooperative rather than a competitive atmosphere
• Show appreciation of children’s efforts and accomplishments
• Ensure continuity of care for children by sharing with incoming caregivers, information about each child’s activities during previous shift and any instructions given by parent.
