Store Room Attendant

REPORTS TO:

Maintenance Manager

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

Maintain adequate stock levels on spare parts and other miscellaneous stock items.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Check stock inventory physically and update into system to validate that restocking is in order.
  • Responsible for receiving and stocking received supplies, as well as updating inventory in CMMS/ERP
  • Enter Purchase Requisitions for Inventory Re-Order and Non-Stocked items, track Purchase Orders and verify Received Goods in CMMS system.
  • Must have the ability to work effectively with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Inventory, Updating BOM, Reporting
  • Assist maintenance technicians in obtaining correct replacement parts from inventory.
  • Continual cycle count of inventory, record results and rectify or communicate issues found.
  • Run errands to pick up/drop off parts and supplies locally, as needed.
  • Ensures storeroom/warehouse 4 inventory is clean, neat and organized.
  • Maintain inventory of expendable items and order as needed.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of plant safety policies/procedures and perform all work according to policies and procedures.
  • Maintains communication with Maintenance Leadership to ensure healthy relations.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Storeroom Coordinator
  • Travel to our Fort Smith location to help assist in inventory. Frequency as needed up to approximately 10%
  • Understand how to read prints to identify parts needed.

ADVANCED DUTIES

  • Contact vendors and specify suitable substitution for replacement parts.
  • Contact Vendors to ensure they are meeting delivery schedules and preclude missed deliveries.
  • Works with Maintenance Coordinator and Storeroom Coordinator to ensure that parts are staged for jobs.

· Responsible for part repair - determining correct vendor, obtaining return authorization and delivering parts to shipping department for out-going shipment.

· Fill in for Storeroom Coordinator when out of office. I.E. purchasing, working with vendors and maintenance coordinator

· Assists in other light maintenance task if needed

· Performs other designated duties as assigned

· Conducts duties according to plant safety policies and procedures

AUTHORITY LEVEL (if applicable):

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Good personal computer and application software skills.
  • Systematic identification and solution of problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions.
  • JDE E1 (ERP) Experience preferred
  • CMMS Experience preferred
  • Able to operate a forklift

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing, walking, sitting, bending, squatting, stooping
  • Lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50lbs
  • Ability to work in 100 degree environment (summer months)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
