Taylor Devices, located in North Tonawanda, NY, is a leading designer and manufacturer of seismic and wind dampers, and a range of hydro-mechanical energy management products. We are currently looking to add a Staff Accountant to our Finance Team.

Staff Accountant

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Analyze and maintain accurate general ledger accounts inclusive of account reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules as part of month end close
• Fixed Asset recordkeeping
• Support quarterly and annual SEC filings (10Q and 10K)
• Support external accounting activities including quarterly reviews, annual audit and tax returns
• Support statutory filings for sales and income tax; forms 1099 and 3921 (Stock Option exercises)
• Cross train with other team members to act as the primary back-up for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll
• Monitor internal control compliance and participate in the development and maintenance of policy and procedure documentation
• Other finance related projects as assigned.

Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance
• Manufacturing Accounting experience preferred
• Infor Syteline experience a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Detail oriented, team player, results driven and organized.
