Overview of Position

The Accountant provides accurate and timely financial information to Segment and Corporate management. The position will help cultivate a continuous improvement culture and promote ongoing learning and engagement in a fast-paced F&A shared services environment. The ideal candidate must be able to contribute to the Shared Service strategy and execution by applying their knowledge and experience.

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

• Prepares and assists in the completion of balance sheet reconciliations timely and accurately
• Creates and maintains SOP’s related to assigned reconciliations
• Assist in the planning and implementations of accounting work and activities
• Develop and maintain relations with business segments and stakeholders
• Assists in monitoring key performance indicators
• Support compliance and ongoing improvements with internal controls including SOX
• Assist AFS management to help build AFS Brand
• Identify opportunities and support continuous learning and a continuous improvement culture
• Assist in identifying and developing best practice solutions
• Support and make recommendations to develop efficient, and innovative processes
• Foster open communication and innovative thinking
• Supports accounting system and processes
• Works independently with other CoE management and team members
• Able to provide solutions to issues

What are the requirements needed for this position?

• BA or BS in Accounting and/or Finance
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience
• Excellent organizational skills
• Strong collaboration and partnering skills
• Blackline or other reconciliation tool usage a plus
• Working in a shared services environment a plus
• Experience working with Oracle ERP a plus

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

• Working knowledge of balance sheet reconciliations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically excel and power point
• Knowledge of financial practices (GAAP and STAT preferred)
• Working knowledge of regulatory requirements (i.e., SOX, audits)
• Problem analysis and resolution at a functional level – detail and results oriented
• Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and perform in a fast-paced environment
• Time sensitive deliverables: will require extended hours during critical close periods as required

Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience, and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
